Wouldn't it be so much easier if it were just: kite-boarding - Kite + ATB kite-surfing - Kite + Little wet boardy gadget or is there something really obvious I'm overlooking that makes that stupid?

It only seems to have gotten confusing since Flexifoil brought their mountainboard range out and threw a spanner in the works by calling them Kitelandboards. Now everyone seems to be latching onto the new name and it gets confusing. I used to know them as: Kitesurfing = Kite + Board (water based) Kiteboarding = Kite + mountainboard (land based) Mark.
