Does anyone have a good place where you can go and camp the weekend, drink beer, get a fire going etc?
I know a few places on the West coast but its a bit remote - anyone know somewhere good nearer the central belt?

Kel,
If you fancy Wales, then we know the very spot. Kinda keeping it secret for now as its the best you will get, well except that you need to climb a 40 foot sand dune to get from the camp site to the beach, but its less than 100m, just 40 feet of it is up and down...LOL give me a shout if you fancy it and I'll put you in contact with the appropriate peeps who go there regs. Regards Bill |

We are also in Scotland
Achnahaird Bay is suppose to be really good too. There's a camp site right on the bay, still a bit remote though. JoJo |

A couple of our mates go there regularly and say it's a cracking place. Haven't had the chance to go there myself yet but it sounds and looks ideal.

Pettycur Bay | ||

Another place that looks not too bad is Pettycar Bay (Burnt Island). Spotted a camping site close by called Pettycur Bay Holiday Park which overlooks the 2 mile beach.
Could be alright for a trial session. JoJo |

It's along the north side of the Firth of Forth, a little to the east of the Forth Bridges.
The sand is a bit muddy though, which is worth bearing in mind (take plenty of spare of clothes) JoJo |
