Does anyone have a good place where you can go and camp the weekend, drink beer, get a fire going etc? I know a few places on the West coast but its a bit remote - anyone know somewhere good nearer the central belt? "Youre only supposed to blow the bloody doors off"

Kinda keeping it secret for now as its the best you will get, well except that you need to climb a 40 foot sand dune to get from the camp site to the beach, but its less than 100m, just 40 feet of it is up and down...LOL give me a shout if you fancy it and I'll put you in contact with the appropriate peeps who go there regs. However work takes me all over the place and Im planning on packing a kite wherever I go - even getting a Landrover as my company car so I can get onto beaches etc Ill mail you if Im down there mate Cheers "Youre only supposed to blow the bloody doors off"

Again a good fair drive, but if you want to camp and want the best then thats about it really Regards Bill p.s. we normally fly St Andrews and up the ayrshire west coast, you got anywhere alone the borders east coast that looks good?

Spotted a camping site close by called Pettycur Bay Holiday Park which overlooks the 2 mile beach. Could be alright for a trial session. JoJo

The sand is a bit muddy though, which is worth bearing in mind (take plenty of spare of clothes) JoJo
