Currently has a ban in place.
If you get caught by the Coastguard they just inform you of the ban.
If you are caught by the Police they will issue verbal caution and take your name etc.
Fylde Borough Council who currently own the beach are waiting on the findings of a health and safety review and also the results of the investigation into the death of a tourist in 2002. Both the Coastguard and the Police believe that the ban will be lifted and the sport allowed to resume under H&S guidelines
