hello everyone, I've just returned from burning man 2004: [link=http://www.burningman.com newwindow]www.burningman.com[/link] and have been inspired to start researching different modes of transportation that I would be able to use out in the middle of a 9 square mile lakebed crowed with people.
After much thought I've come to the conclusion that a mountainboard would be my number one choice. At first I figured that I would get a motorized one (still very cool) but after a little more digging, I found a whole culture of wind powered mountainboarders. A little more my style than gasoline.
I guess the underlying questions concerning this post are these:
-can you use a mountainboard and a kite to get reliably from point A to point B?
-How much control do you have?
-Can you manuvere through light crowds of bicyclers?
-Is it possible to regulate your speed?
Even writing these questions, it seems that a motorpowered board would be a better option, but I'm still kinda' bent on a kite. I have no idea what kind to get, but I've got my eye on the MBS Comp 16 Pro Mountainboard. Being as I've never even seen someone kiteboard (except in crappy buffered video), I'd really like to talk to someone with some experience.
Thanks for the help.
