That depends what u want to do,
I dont board myself but apperently a bar can help u balance, and is easier than handles.

If u plan to buggy then handles are the better option in my opinion, while u can buggy with a bar, it tends to get in the way IMO,
but some people do buggy with a bar and get on well with it.

A harness can be used with either, so the fact u can use a harness with a bar is no reason to use bars, as its just as easy to use handles with a harness.

but remmember that most kites that are not specificaly designed for a bar, will fly differently if u put them on a bar.
For example the blades and bullets can be put on a bar but the will turn slower, especially the large sizes, as u have no brakes to turn with. The only brakes that u have are for safety, ie they are applied wen u let go of the bar to bring the kite to the ground.
