Ther size of kite you can jump with depends on the wind speed, and the weight of the flyer. But people generally say to not use small kites as you come down faster, so have a harder landing.
On the video it's a Bego, so more than likely it's a 6m looking at the float he was getting. You can do it with a 4m (or smaller) so long as there's enough wind, but you need it to be enough to ensure a gentle landing. It's not for the feint hearted as those sort of heights can end up in a nasty fall if it goes wrong. You also want a decent, but steady wind, gusts are a big no-no, as if the wind drops while you're in mid-air, it's a quick landing. Ideally, it'll be a 5m kite or bigger in a good wind for the kite and flier. |
