I was wondering if any of you are into mountain boarding and if so if you could help me with some questions.
I'm studying industrial design in australia and am looking at developing new
inventions and innovations for mountain boarding. Id really appreciate
it if you could tell me a bit about the sport and give me your
professional opinion on some of my ideas.
-How long have you been mountain boarding for?
-How often do you go Mountain boarding?
-What equipment do you own? (Boards and safety equipment)
-What do you find to be the most expensive thing about mountain boarding?
-What equipment do you replace most often?
-Do you adjust your equipment much? (What and how often)
-Does the length and width of a board have a big effect on the way it
feels and handles?
-If there was a board available that allowed you to change the length
and width of your wheelbase would you be interested in it.
-Do you use straps or snowboard bindings, which do you think are better and why?
-What do you look for in suspension? Could Mountain Boarding benefit
from 4 wheel independent suspension of some sort?
-If tubeless tyres were available would you use them? Why?
-Do you use a brake?
-If so, does it ever get in the way? How so?
-Is the turning circle of your board adequate to go down all the
tracks you would like to?
-If there was equipment available that let you turn sharper would you use it?
All the research I've been doing has been giving me the inch to get in
to the sport my self but i don't really know where to start, or what
equipment i need. So any thing else you can tell me about the sport or
where I can get equipment in Australia would be great.
Thanks heaps Shaun.
